Ok so these are all from Michael Paynter songs.
The words on the ” ” are the song titles and
the words in the * * are the quotes from them
the rest is the meaning behind the songs and
quotes.
“LOVE THE FALL”
*Love the fall* - Taking a risk.
Its about taking risks. So its about loving that fact that
you took the risk and fell rather than not knowing the
outcome at all. You’d rather take the risk and fail than not
taking the opportunity at all.
“ARE YOU ALIVE?”
*Fly or fall* - Pretty self explainatory.
*What are you waiting for?* - Time.
Its about wasting time and having no reason for it. Kind
of like stalling and saying why are you doing it.
*Are you alive?* - Living true for yourself.
Its about being in your comfort zone and how it can
be a safe place and you’ll get by. But does it really
satisfy you living like that. Is that the way you wanted
things to be.
“CLOSER”
*Breathe, Are we getting closer?* - Falling.
When all goes down hill and your about to give up
you take a breath. The more you fall the closer your getting
to the top cause your getting stronger. So I guess that kind of
leads back to learning to love the fall.
“MONEY ON YOUR TONGUE” - This is my favourite song.
*Hold tight* - Home.
His saying its gonna be a long way home. but home meaning
where you want to be in life so to hold tight and be patient.
*Smoking gun* - Srength.
Its about someone on the rise to fame and how they GOT THIS!
*Run* - Time.
He says “so run run run run, with money on your tongue” so
its obviously about almost being at your destination but
your running out of time so you should never waste it.
“FREEDOMS NOT FOR ME”
*Brave enough to take the fall, Strong enough to fail* - Taking a risk.
This I guess also leads back to loving the fall, learning
to take all the pain and use it to gain strength.
“A VICTIMS SONG”
*Never maybe* - Never doubt yourself.
This is about a decision that you can’t make and how
you try to get over it but you just can’t and if you keep
avoiding it your gonna become a victim and always doubt yourself.
One more thing is that in most of his songs he talks about
reaching for the sky and how the sun shines so bright when you
notice it. So his “Sun” is like the key to where he is now.
So I was thinking of how I can put that into the tat aswell.
